Adidas has announced plans to update its miCoach web based software for runners.

The enhancements include new race plans from coach Greg McMillan, and the ability to synchronise the miCoach calendar with any iCalendar supporting calendar. This includes Google Calendar, iCal and Outlook. Better password protection is also being implemented.

Entirely new in miCoach is support for use of an indoor bike for workouts. This broadens the scope of miCoach away from its runner base and towards cyclists and those interested in combining the two activities.

We were impressed with MiCoach when we reviewed it back in July and the new developments look like solid, logical steps forward.

The announcement doesn’t say when these updates are due to come into effect, but they are promised ‘in the near future’.
